Jungle Juice on the cusp of Eastern Europe

sunny 33 °C

Finland was interesting to us as we didnt know much about it and noticed a change in the look of the general populace quite soon - they looked more "slavic" if there is such a thing. We were also by now on the cusp of Eastern Europe. We were a bit apprehensive about Russia and comments from many of the Finns we met seemed to confirm our jitters. "you are riding from St Petersburg to Sochi!!!!!!??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..." The Finns and the Russians have never really been on good terms and were on opposite sides in WW2. Some resentment remains. I got paraletically drunk for the first time on the trip after accepting overly generous offers of Finnish jungle juice from the lovely people in the camp site. Thanks to Carol for the assistance back to the tent. We slunk out the next morning to avoid a repeat...
